The project rehabilitates a 1960’s vacation house enhancing its barn-like character while integrating new and modern additions: a timber pergola, projected and shaped to follow the gable form of the roof, a cantilevered timber deck directly connected to a breakfast nook, integrating the landscape into the living spaces with an expansive bi-folding door and opening some bedrooms into the landscape outside transforming it into a 60’s-country-modern hybrid.
